As a Senior Nurse (General), the post holder will provide clinical leadership within a Barchester care home, ensuring residents receive high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment. The role involves making critical clinical decisions, implementing safeguarding policies, administering medicines in line with NMC regulations, and mentoring nursing staff to maintain high standards of care.

• Assess the needs of new residents and develop care plans

• Implement safeguarding policies and procedures

• Administer medicines in line with NMC regulations

• Produce detailed risk assessments

• Support and mentor nursing staff, including newly qualified nurses

• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines

• Deliver improvements to maintain and enhance quality care standards

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration

• Mentoring or supervision qualification

• Experience producing care plans and risk assessments

• Up-to-date knowledge of current clinical practices

• Understanding of regulatory frameworks including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines

• Experience working with older people

• Experience supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship

• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
