Job Description:

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements

Do you have extensive experience in leading workplace counselling services and supporting employee wellbeing? Can you develop and implement effective mental health strategies to create a supportive work environment? Are you a compassionate and strategic leader with a passion for enhancing workplace mental health initiatives?

Reporting to the Head of Health and Well-being, you will oversee the delivery of a high-quality, accessible, and confidential counselling and professional consultation service. You will maintain robust systems to assess service effectiveness and inform future developments. Additionally, you will expand initiatives such as early intervention support, training for managers, role-based consultation, and neurodiversity-inclusive practices.

You will bring a deep understanding of workplace counselling and wellbeing, as well as innovative ideas on how a large, complex organisation can adapt to emerging challenges such as neurodiversity, the impact of change management, and the role of technology in psychological support services.

You will provide leadership across the Service which includes 2 in-house counsellors, a small administrative team and external contractors when applicable.
