- Oversee daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment.
- Develop and implement menus in collaboration with kitchen staff, focusing on seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality standards and presentation.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Maintain inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies while managing costs effectively.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote special events and menu offerings.
- Ensure that bartending practices meet industry standards for safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of bartending techniques and food preparation methods.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both service delivery and kitchen operations.
- A background in culinary arts is advantageous but not essential; however, a passion for hospitality is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
